The HP Officejet 4500 is a competent multifunction wireless printer for small office customers with Wi-Fi functionality. However, this all-in-one device is sluggish, and the ink prices are fairly expensive. The device also contains a 20-sheet automated document feeder, with a 100-sheet input tray that also retains up to 20 pages of printing — a strange arrangement, but typical, among low-cost systems. Duplexing is done manually, with helpful on-screen instructions. For communication, the Officejet 4500 Wireless offers USB and Wi-Fi; ethernet (but not Wi-Fi) (but not Wi-Fi).

You traverse the choices using a two-line 16-character monochrome LCD and the typical arrows, OK, and back/cancel buttons; This device also features a numeric keypad. My main argument is that the MFP doesn’t offer a visual indication to indicate that you’ve picked a setting, simply a double beep which is too subtle.
